Arcana Introduces Its Latest Diva

Tuesday, December 18th, 2007

Watch out Ezra and Koni Waves, Arcana Comics is about to unveil their newest heroine, Eve: Vampire Diva! By day, she’s a pop singer and movie star who has to deal with the backstabbing, phony personalities of Hollywood. By night, she’s a fearless vampire warrior battling werewolves, witches, and her villainous vampire brethren. Sometimes she doesn’t know which life is worth.

Created and written by Frank J LaPerch and illustrated by Ash Jackson, Eve: Vampire Diva tells the tale of Jessica Evelyn Murphy, better known to the public as Eve, A-list celebrity. However, what the public doesn’t know is Eve lives a dual life battling vampires, witches, and vampires at night. If juggling these two lives wasn’t problem enough, her agent just signed her up to appear in a 24/7 reality show. The entertainment world and the supernatural world collide in this fun, action-packed new series from Arcana Comics.

With issue #1 of the 4 issue series set to debut this month, the buzz is strongly starting to build for Eve. Jaded Expressions magazine called Ash Jackson’s artwork “dynamic,” and said, “Each panel leaps off the page in a wonderfully kinetic and vibrant burst of energy that isn’t content to just show a hot chick in black leather. The most important factor of comic book art is not prettiness… it’s storytelling. And Ash Jackson’s art has both in spades.” And Paperback Reader praises writer, Frank LaPerch on his brilliant job of handling the dialogue.

With Eve’s comic book Q rating soaring, it’s time to move this diva from the A-list to your reserve list at your local comic shop! Eve: Vampire Diva #1 from Arcana Comics, 28 pgs, FC, Diamond Code: OCT07 3255.

Gearhead: intervista a Kevin Mellon
