Without further ado, here is the first image on the forthcoming Eve special.

Ash did an AMAZING job as usual with not just his rendering, but composition and color. Eve couldn't have a better "photographer" Very Happy

LOL, in time. Be patient, Grasshopper Very Happy

Story is done and Ash is working on concepts and he's the fastest gun in the west, so there will be more goodies soon!

I'm dying to see more myself!

I figure I'll make this our Eve Origin thread. From time to time, I'll post images from Ash . . .. but not too much, we don't want to spoil the story!

Ash's pages are absolutely amazing and I hope you all enjoy a sample of the goodies I get in my email!

First up, a shot of a very young "diva"

A music lesson and arriving home:

A member of the Council (do you recognize him from issue #1?)

And Eve's first music teacher:

That's all for now!

He looks like a "Dirty Old Man"

PS I activated Ash's Account, I can't wait to see what he posts.

Oh no! Pietro is a kindly old gent, LOL!
Seriously, Ash's pages are phenomenal and I hope everyone enjoys this story as much as we enjoy making it!

It's a bit darker, but will definitely flesh out the Eve-verse nicely!

I was just being silly.

Which will come out first this or the Koni Waves cross over?

Like the Banner I made?

Nice banner!

I don't know in what order Sean will release them, but I'm pretty sure Eve: origin will be done first. That script is finished and Ash has already completed a bunch of pages.

The team-up is still being scripted. Hopefully a draft will be done next week Smile

It's been a lot of fun! I can't wait to see both of these projects in print!

Until then we've got Eve's 8 pager in the Velvet Rope. I'm looking forward to the other stories in that anthology - I believe it's a fully stocked 64 pager!

But enough of my babble - I should be showing you something good, like this clipped shot from a gorgeous page I just received in my email!

Oh yes, Velvet Rope is a fully stocked 64 pager. I was going over the book with Steve and Dex today and we were all impressed with the stories.

Ash has been sending some amazing pages as of late! I have to share a little of them, but I'm going to keep it short to avoid spoilers.
Heck, I watched so many trailers for the Hulk beforehand I knew every scene when I finally went to see it.

It still rocked, though!

Anyway, back to our regular scheduled diva programming . . .

Here's a very young Girdy and an interesting necklace

Here's a shot of Edgar, Eve and Joseph:

Yes, Ash's style is extremely dynamic. It reminds me of the best 2D classic animation with the energy of the best sequential artists. Joe Madureira and J Scott Campbell come to mind off the top of my head.

It's been an honor to have him draw Eve! The coolest thing is seeing the pencilled pages pop up in my email and going back and matching it up with the script and see it come to life!

Has Ash's art made the story evolve? Had one direction in mind because of a panel or page of Ash's you decided to go in a different or more dramatic direction?

I've definitely changed up dialogue and added stuff after seeing a certain expression or visual.

I'm always amazed at Ash's ability to capture a description. Is there really any one particular way to draw an expression such as : "Scared and angry"? - yet Ash makes it work.

Do you guys have a preview book or Ashcan that you used to "shop" Eve around? I know there was one for Koni, which I have been trying unsuccessfully to find.
